Connecting you from Maputo to Machangulo

We can help organise your return transfers from Maputo International Airport to our villa via boat or aircraft. Please ensure you pre-book far in advance. For self-driving directions, please follow the steps.

Boat Transfer

Relish a trip across Maputo Bay with views of the Maputo city skyline.

Estimated travel time: 1 hour 30 mins.
Vessel: Small speedboats that can accommodate 6 guests.
Boat transfer rates: enquire (third-party and subject to change)
Disembarking/boarding: You will have to wade through water that is approximately shin deep. Please dress appropriately.

Taxi to Maputo Marina or Porta de Pesca

Step 2

Boat charter from Maputo to Santa Maria.

Step 3

Our driver will collect you in Santa Maria and take you directly to the villa. The drive is approximately 20 mins.

2 Car Transfer

Enjoy a scenic tour through the Maputo National Park using your own vehicle.

Estimated travel time: 5 hours.
Vehicle: Capable 4×4 only with tyre pressure set to 180 kPa or lower.
Terrain: Sand and dirt roads.

Drive south from Maputo International Airport to Katembe Bridge.

Step 3

Drive until you reach the Futi Gate of Maputo National Park.

Step 4

Keep to the main roads, following the directions for Santa Maria and/or Machangulo – approx 80 kms of offroading.

Step 5

Loggerhead Beach Villa is 12,2km from the Machangulo gate, on your right.

The Monarch Villa is 14,3km from the Machangulo gate, on your right.

Leatherback Beach Villa is 16,8km from the Machangulo gate, on your right.

Please Note: Make sure you confirm with our reservations team that you will be self-driving once you make a booking at our villa. We will send you detailed directions from Futi Gate.

Sit back, relax and savour a quick flight over the incredible Maputo National Park and picturesque Machangulo Peninsula.

Aircraft: Fixed-wing and helicopter options are available.
